The analog display may especially be used for a clock. A normal electric drive system is accommodated in a housing (11) behind the clock face (14). The hour and minute hands (5,6) are mounted on concentric shafts and have LED's (Light Emitting Diodes) (4) mounted at intervals along their length. Spring contacts (3) touch contact regions (8-10) on the hands.
