PURPOSE: A portable body fat measuring device is provided to improve the convenience of a user by measuring a body fat through a bioelectrical impedance analysis through a touch of thumbs of hands. CONSTITUTION: A key input unit(10) controls an ON/OFF operation of a measuring device and outputs a key signal of personal data information. A memory unit(20) stores sequentially the personal data information inputted from the operation of the key input unit(10) on a frame basis. First and second contacting units(31,32) have electrodes and are contacted to both thumbs of a body. When the both thumbs of a person are contacted to the first and second contacting units(31,32), a measurement controlling unit(40) retrieves the personal data information stored in the memory unit(20) to calculate a body fat of the person. When the both thumbs of a person are contacted to the first and second contacting units(31,32), an error determining unit(50) detects the contacted state to determine whether or not an error occurs and to output a determined signal to the measure controlling unit(40). A display unit(60) displays the measured error data determined by the error determining unit(50) and the body fat data of the person calculated from the measurement controlling unit(40).
