<p>The invention relates to a device for cutting material webs (10) consisting of paper, synthetic material, or similar, in particular, for cutting labels which are applied to bottles or similar containers. Said device comprises a take-off device which withdraws the material web under pre-tension from a supply roll, a cutting device which is located in the direction of transport in front of the take-off device and which severs the material web with one cut at a predefined cutting angle in relation to the longitudinal extension of said material web. A laser (24) is located on one side of the material web, whose focus is substantially set on the opposing side of the material web (10) and a deflection device pivots the laser beam over the width of said material web. A perforated transport belt (14) consisting of a heat and corrosion-resistant material is located on the other side of the material web, which is subjected to a vacuum (20) in the area adjacent to said material web (10).</p> |
