A folding picture frame has each side of a picture provided with folding strips to form a hollow frame. The frame sections are secured by tag and slot connections. The corners of adjacent frame sections are further secured by tags and slots in an interlocking pattern which prevents loosening of the structure. Some of the tags are in the inside corners of the frame while others are on the top of the frame and extend into the frame, also displacing tags formed by triple slits.
