Unpigmented polystyrene article (sheet or moulding) is sprayed first with adhesion promoter, pref. fast-drying, cold-curing acrylic resin, strongly diluted with acetic ester, and then with pigmented, cold-curing duroplastic layer, pref. of polyester resin. Several types of decoration can be used. Products can be used as wall and ceiling tiles, lampshades, clock cases etc. They have improved weather and UV-resistance and hardness. Cheap material can be made to resemble ceramic tiles, for instance. Duroplastic layer is free from surface electrostatic charge. |
