Arrangement for fixing a dental model, e.g. a lower jaw (1), on a holding plate (2) of an articulator comprises an elastic compensation element (4) insulated against water and moisture which is arranged between the model and the holding plate and connected with one side to the model and with the other side via a plaster layer (5) to the holding plate. An Independent claim is also included for a compensation element used in the fixing of a dental model on an articulator. Preferred Features: The plate-like compensation element is profiled on at least one side and has a multilayer construction consisting of at least one insulating layer and at least one elastic layer (4'').
