The chain saw sharpened consists of two grinding spirals rotating in a casing about an axis parallel to the chain bar, of an appropriate size and shape for the saw chain. The spirals are fitted to the chain bar in such a manner that the saw chain teeth, when the saw is running, are ground by them and the grinding spirals are rotated.
