The invention relates to a light detection device (KM1) comprising a light sensor (KA) having an electronic camera element which is provided with a receiving section (AA) for receiving light which is emitted from a light source; an optical element (L) for refracting the light emitted from the light source, said optical element (L, PL) being arranged between the receiving section (AA) and the light source; and an absorption element (PSG) which is arranged between the receiving section and the light source, in order to control the intensity of the light striking the receiving section. The absorption degree of the absorption element is variable. In order to facilitate the control of the light striking the receiving section of the camera element, the absorption element advantageously consists of a phototropic glass.
