PURPOSE: A gas insulated switchgear is provided to achieve a gas insulated switchgear which is superior in workability of manufacturing and cost benefit, further is superior even in maintenance inspection and electrical insulation properties. CONSTITUTION: A branch pipe(20) is installed in the lower side of a vessel(1) of a gas insulated circuit breaker and directly under a buffer type gas circuit breaking part(3) to mount therein an adsorbent storage vessel(23) so as to capture foreign matters by a gap(G) in the periphery, and so as to obtain a function as a hand hole for inspection, the adsorbent storage vessel, and as a vessel for capturing the conductive foreign matters, using the single branch pipe(20).
