<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a webbing windup device capable of stopping the axial displacement of a windup shaft relative to a frame with a simple structure and easily assembling the windup shaft in the frame, and a webbing windup device assembly method. SOLUTION: In this webbing windup device, a stopper plate 34 is installed into the belt insert hole 30 of a spool 26. In this installed state, the stop wall 46 of stopper plate 34 is extended from the outer peripheral part of a spool body 28 to the radial outside of a spool body 28, and opposed, through a clearance between the leg plates 14 and 16 of the frame 12, to leg plates 14 and 16 along the axial direction of the spool 26. When the spool 26 is started to displace in the axial direction thereof, the leg plates 14 and 16 interfere with the stop wall 46, and indirectly interfere with the spool 26. Thus the displacement of the spool 26 along the axial direction can be stopped.</p> |
