PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a rubber composition having improved rolling resistance characteristics and wet skid performances without lowering dispersibility of an inorganic filler, processability such as scorch stability and abrasion resistance and a tire using the rubber composition. SOLUTION: This rubber composition is prepared by compounding (A) 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component containing 0.1-100 wt.% of a modified conjugated diene polymer with (B) the inorganic filler, (C) a silane coupling agent, (D) a silane compound represented by the general formula: SiR<1> n(OR<1> )4-n (wherein, R<1> are each a hydrocarbon group or an alkoxy hydrocarbon group which may be each the same or different; and n is 0-3) and/or its hydrolyzate condensate. The tire is obtained by using the rubber composition.
