PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil separating apparatus by which a compressor drain can be separated into oil and water by using a flotation method while separating minute air bubbles from excess air efficiently under normal pressure and which has high oil separating performance. SOLUTION: This oil separating apparatus is constituted so that the liquid to be treated and air are sucked, mixed and pressurized in a pump, the sucked air is dissolved in the liquid to be treated while the pressurized mixture is sent to a nozzle arranged at the tip of a discharge line of the pump, the air- dissolved liquid is jetted from the nozzle into a treating tank where the liquid to be treated is stored to produce minute air bubbles in the liquid to be treated and the oil content of the liquid to be treated is floated and separated by the produced minute air bubbles. Large air bubbles produced by decompressing the air-mixed and pressurized liquid at the nozzle are separated before fed to the bottom of the treating tank and supplied to the upper part of the treating tank. The minute air bubble-containing liquid is supplied continuously to the lower part of the treating tank.
