PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve equipment efficiency by carrying out the separation and the storage of sedimentary sand with one apparatus. SOLUTION: A sedimentary sand separation apparatus 2 and a sedimentary sand storage hopper are respectively provided in the upper part and the lower part integrally. The sedimentary sand separation apparatus 2 is provided with a spiral flow passage 24 for passing feed water introduced from the outside and separating the sedimentary sand P incorporated in the feed water in the mean time and an overflow discharge part 23 for overflowing the feed water after the sedimentary sand P is separated to a water discharge drain pipe 41. An inclined bottom plate 24a used also for a partition wall to separate from the sedimentary sand storage hopper 3 and a turbinated type slit 24b for falling down the separated sedimentary sand P into the sedimentary sand storage hopper 3 are provided on the bottom part of the spiral flow passage 24a. The storage hopper 3 is provided with a screw conveyer machine 30 for discharging the sedimentary sand and a supernatant discharge mechanism 43 for discharging the supernatant in the sedimentary storage hopper 3.
