PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment in which switching of an undesired observational visual field can be prevented even though the curved part of an intra- corporeal insertion part is curved as for an endoscope provided with a focal distance changing mechanism. SOLUTION: The mechanism comprises a zooming rotating knob 5 supported in a rotatably operable manner by the operation part 1b of the endoscope; an objective optical system 3b provided at the tip of the intra-corporeal insertion part 1a of the endoscope; a movable focal distance adjusting element for switching the observational visual field of the objective optical system to a normal observational visual field in which an observational range is comparatively wide and an expanded observational visual field in which the observational range is small; and an operation wire 3o for combining the movable focal distance adjustment element of the objective optical system and the rotating knob 5. The mechanism is provided with click stop mechanisms (10 and 11) for click- stopping the rotating knob 5 to at least one of a normal observation position and an expanded observation position.
