PROMOTER AND INHIBITOR FOR REMOVING APOPTOSIS CELL IN THE BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a promoter for removing apoptosis cells in the body, capable of rapidly removing the in vivo apoptosis cell by a macrophage and a removal inhibitor for removing the apoptosis cells by the macrophage. SOLUTION: This promoter for removing apoptosis cells comprise a milk fat globule coated glycoprotein (MFG-E8-L) or MFG-E8-L variant having removal-promoting action of the apoptosis cells by macrophage, preferably recombinant human or mouse MFG-E8-L variant as an active ingredient. The removal promoter specifically binds to the apoptosis cells and promotes phagocytic action of the apoptosis cell by macrophage by recognizing an aminophospholipid such as phosphatidylserine exposed on the surface of the apoptosis cells. On the other hand, a point mutation (D89E) MFG-E8-L is used as this removal inhibitor.
