PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rodlike binding implement enabling easy removal of an object bound matter from a binding implement such as a metal ring implement even when a lot of matter is bound in this binding implement, and enabling easy binding of the matter to be bound in the binding implement such as the metal ring implement even when the matter is a document, a catalog or the like being thick relatively. SOLUTION: The rodlike binding implement 10 comprises a rodlike main body 20 wherein fitting-in paths 220 leading to binding holes 214 are formed and a fitting body 30 which is provided in connection with the rodlike main body 20 and fits the matter A to be bound. The fitting body 30 has a first engaging body 32 so provided as to project in the direction of the width of the rodlike main body 20 and a second engaging body 34 so provided as to connect with the first engaging body 32 through the intermediary of a hinge part 46.
