<p>Electrolytic process for generating a gaseous mixture of oxygen and hydrogen for use in welding torches in which water, to which an anti-foaming agent has been added, is electrolysed between nickel electrodes of at least 98% purity. The electrolysis takes place in a insulated container and the gas formed is removed and transported via an offtake and flexible piping to the welding torch. The current is supplied by a transformer of suitable power to operate continuously, and a rectifier.</p> |
