PURPOSE: A refrigerator with a thawing chamber is provided to easily and rapidly thaw the frozen food, while allowing the heat generated during the compression to be effectively transferred to the thawing chamber. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises a main body(11) including a cooling chamber and a machine room; a compressor disposed within the machine room; a thawing chamber forming member having a front open cylinder shape, which is made of a thermal conductive member and disposed in front of the compressor in such a manner that the thawing chamber forming member forms a thawing chamber(RT) and an air flow space between the main body and the thawing chamber forming member; a thawing chamber door(49) for opening/shutting the front opening of the thawing chamber forming member; and a blower fan interposed between the thawing chamber forming member and the compressor, which blows the air around the compressor to the air flow space formed between the main body and the thawing chamber forming member.
