PURPOSE: A gas valve assembly capable of adjusting open time is provided to reduce volume thereof and to be used as an ignition switch of gas equipments such as a gas range. CONSTITUTION: A gas valve assembly includes a valve axis(300) receiving a first directional driving force or a second directional driving force from the outside to rotate a valve(200) to an opening position or a closing position to transmit to the valve; an opening time setting unit(500) supplying the valve axis with the first directional driving force by external force, setting opening time of the valve, and working during the set opening time; a valve closing unit(600) generating the second directional driving force to supply the valve axis with the force; and an opening state maintaining unit(700) interlocked with the opening time setting unit to lock the valve closing unit to suppress generation of the second directional driving force when the opening time is set, and releasing locking of the valve closing unit when the opening time ends. The valve axis and a dial(510) is connected and operated by a single timer axis(520) for convenient use.
