PURPOSE: A multimedia electronic notice board system and a method for managing the same are provided to supply a multimedia electronic notice board service for a user of a general telephone connected to a PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network) without a signal converter such as a modem and a multimedia production program. CONSTITUTION: A public network interwork server(31) supports an interwork function of a WAN environment such as the Internet with the telephone(11). A notice board server(50) supplies a notice board site capable of registering and reading a multimedia matter on the WAN environment, registers, and stores a corresponding notice matter in a notice board DB(60) in accordance with a notice matter registration request through a corresponding contents selection of the notice board site. The notice board server(50) reads a corresponding notice matter stored in the notice board DB(60) in accordance with a notice matter reading request through a corresponding contents selection. A conversion server(40) converts a notice matter registration-requested through the telephone(11) into a format supported by the notice board server(50) and transmits the converted notice matter to the notice board server(50). If a notice matter reading-requested through the telephone(11) is transmitted from the notice board server(50), the conversion server(40) converts the notice matter into a format supported by the telephone(11), and transmits the converted notice matter to the telephone(11).
