PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for collapsing and sorting an empty can which sorts an aluminum can and a steel can with a chute to receive the collapsed empty can and to guide it to a recovery container. SOLUTION: The chute 31 which receives the collapsed empty can is installed over the recovery containers 51 and 52, and a permanent magnet 62 is separably provided on the sliding down surface of the chute 31. The chute 31 is turned together with the operation of a handle 13 between a first position where a discharge edge faces the recovery container 51 of the aluminum can and a second position where the discharge edge faces the recovery container 52 of the steel can. When the chute 31 is turned from the first position to the second position, the permanent magnet 62 is transferred in a direction separating from the sliding down surface. A degree of freedom is obtained on the design of a structure for a collapsing part. Thereby, the apparatus for collapsing and sorting the empty can is constructed small and lightweight. |
