PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a food allergen, to provide an antibody used for the method, and to provide an antigen for preparing the antibody. SOLUTION: This antigen is a mixture of food allergens that comprise unmodified and/or modified substances recognized by the IgE antibody of a food allergy patient. The antibody is obtained by immunizing an animal with the antigen. The method for detecting the food allergen uses the antibody. By the method, the food allergen, food allergy-inducing food, and the like, can be detected to contribute to the safety security of a food allergy patient.
