PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable crane with its life extendable by suppression of wearing of hoisting and traversing ropes, with its downtime shortened by reducing the number of hoisting and transverse rope replacements, with manhours required for automatic operation reset adjustment decreased, and readily accepting automatization as required. SOLUTION: A hoisting drum 115 and a traversing drum 107 are single rope drums, installed on a tower 101 for their axes to stretch in an approximately horizontal direction perpendicular to the direction of movement of the tower 101.
