<p>PURPOSE: A microbial media and a wastewater treatment apparatus using the same are provided, in which various kinds of materials are recycled as microbial media used as contact filtration media to increase treatment efficiency of sewage and wastewater owing to its specific surface characteristics. CONSTITUTION: The microbial media to be installed in anaerobic tank(3), primary and secondary aeration tank(4,5) is characterized in that the microbial media is prepared by filling particulate contact filtration media made by wood chip or modified wood chip, porous plastic, waste empty bottles of yogurt, polymer resin fiber, expanded resin of polyurethane, crushed stones of basalt or granite, particulate activated carbon or sawdust to have 30 to 80 % of porosity in the forms of amorphous, tetrahedron, ellipticity or circular, wherein the microbial media is filled in the anaerobic tank, the first aeration tank and the second aeration tank by volume ratios of 0 to 50 %, 50 to 80 %, 50 to 80%, respectively.</p> |
