PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow iron club head used for a iron golf club. SOLUTION: The hollow iron club head is provided with a front area 2 having a front wall 22 which forms a face surface 21, and a rear area 3 which is connected to the front area 2. The rear area 3 has a rear wall 31 and a sole part 32, which are integrally formed. The front area 2 is composed of a material having smaller specific gravity than that of the rear area 3.
