PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pachinko machine which achieves sound generation performances using wind mills at a high accuracy with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The pachinko machine is provided with a photosensor 44 for detecting the rotation of the bodies 32 of lamp wind mills 30 installed on the playing board 5 and a speaker for generating sounds based on signals from the photosensor 44. Game balls abut against the bodies 32 of the wind mills to make them turn while the rotation thereof is detected with the photosensor 44 to generate sounds with the speaker corresponding to the rotation of the bodies 32 of the wind mills. Thus, players can enjoy attractions in the sense of vision and hearing with the rotation of the bodies 32 of the wind mills. As compared with the traditional art for generating sounds by frequent contact with members, this eliminates unavoidable generation of wearing, cutting dusts and others and can avoid the erroneous detection of the rotation of the wind mills as caused by vibrations on the surface of the game board and vibrations of other machines in the traditional art using an impact detection sensor.
