PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookend preventing books housed in a space where the right and the left are limited by a plate or a wall such as the inside of a bookshelf or the like from falling by utilizing repulsion of an elastic body provided between both the side plates and the books. SOLUTION: The bookend comprises a flexible duct hose manufactured by extrusion molding of a plastics material and having a length appropriately cut and is provided with cover bodies fixed on both ends of the hose for protecting the books or both the side plates. The cover bodies are preferably made of plastics corrugated boards laminated with specified number of sheets of blanks thereof and integrated with by bonding or fixing by pins.
