PURPOSE: An optical scanner is provided to be capable of printing at a high speed using an optical deflector of a small size by installing an optical path extending part between an optical deflector and a scan lens. CONSTITUTION: A scan lens(106) revises an error included in a laser beam deflected by a deflection surface of a rotation polyhedral mirror(105a). An optical path extending part(110) is installed between the rotation polyhedral mirror and the scan lens and extends a moving distance of a laser beam between the rotation polyhedral mirror and the scan lens. A reflection mirror(109) reflects a laser beam passing the scan lens to a scan surface of a sensitization drum(120). The optical path extending part(110) includes the first reflection mirror(112) for reflecting a laser beam from the deflection surface and the second reflection mirror(114) for reflecting a laser beam from the second reflection mirror(112) into a lens(106a).
