PURPOSE: A defrost heater for a refrigerator is provided to reliably protect the heater pipe from ingress of water and absorb thermal impact in the heater pipe by sealing the cable and heater pipe through the use of a sealing cap. CONSTITUTION: A defrost heater comprises a hot wire integrated cable(10) which generates heat when power is applied; a heater pipe(20) for accommodating the hot wire integrated cable and transferring heat to outside; and a sealing cap(12) made of a silicon material, which is arranged at the end of the heater pipe where the hot wire integrated cable is inserted, so as to thereby seal the gap formed between the hot wire integrated cable and the heater pipe. Since the sealing cap completely seals the outer surface of the cable and the inner surface of the heater pipe, the heater pipe is protected from ingress of water.
