PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrical crushing apparatus and a method by which throughput in electrical crushing is improved. SOLUTION: The electrical crushing apparatus 1 is provided with a conveyer 5 for transporting a material 27 to be crushed by a transporting belt 3 having a plurality of through holes on the transporting surface, a treating vessel 11 in which an insulating liquid 9 is stored and at least the crushing treatment range 7 of the conveyer 5 is dipped into the liquid 9, a fixed electrode 13 provided below the crushing treatment range 7 of the conveyer 5 in the treating vessel 11, a rod like counter electrode 15 provided to face the fixed electrode 13 across the crushing treatment range 7 of the conveyer 5 and a high voltage generating means 16 for imparting high voltage between the fixed electrode 13 and the counter electrode 15. |
