PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ashtray capable of well extinguishing a tobacco light and eliminating anxiety with embers by lightly shaking the ashtray body left and right even the ashtray in a state of cigarette butts staying to some extent therein. SOLUTION: This ashtray comprises an ashtray body 1 composed of a bottom wall part 3, a peripheral sidewall part 4, and a flange part 5 protruding from the top of the peripheral sidewall part 4 and an ashtray body receiver 2 composed of a bottom wall part 6 and a peripheral sidewall part 7 and receiving the bottom wall part 3 and the peripheral sidewall part 4 of the ashtray body 1. Holes 8 for extinguishing the light and removing ash are formed in the bottom wall part 3 of the ashtray body 1. Furthermore, the ashtray body 1 is supported by the ashtray body receiver 2 so as to form an ash collecting space part 9 between the bottom wall part 3 and the bottom wall pat 6 of the ashtray body receiver 2.
