METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REMOVING NITROGEN FROM WASTEWATER

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for removing nitrogen from wastewater are provided, which can automatically provide organic carbon requirement expressed as nitrate (NO3) that changes in the process so that it can maximize removing efficiency of nitrate even in case of rapid change of nitrogen oxide concentration, thus minimizing organic concentration in effluent water. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of measuring nitrate (NO3) that change according to process conditions by measuring module of nitrate (NO3) in advanced biological treatment reactor, where the module comprises a sensor(9), an agitator(10) and a diagnosis reagent feeder(12); calculating organic carbon source requirement in the process by algorithmic control logic using the measured nitrate (NO3); and supplying organic carbon source by controlling organic carbon source feeding device based on the calculated data.
