PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine having an effective sound generator without exerting a large burden on the control operation of a main control circuit. SOLUTION: The effective sound generator 215 receives an effective sound output command of the main control part 208 through an output port 211 to carry out a prescribed operation. The effective sound generator 215 comprises a sequence control part 2, a phrase data storing part 4 and a sound element synthesis part 3. To the sequence control part 2, the output port 211, the phrase data storing part 4 and the sound element synthesis part 3 are respectively connected through signal lines b, c, d and e. The sequence control part 2 has a control part composed of, for instance, a one-chip CPU to read compressed sound element data from the phrase data storing part 4. Then, the sequence control part serves as a synthesizer which decodes (expands) the compressed sound element data in accordance with a predetermined sequence, synthesizes the data and outputs it as prescribed effective sound. |
