PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct liquid type writing implement which can be used without overflow of ink even in the environment wherein an internal pressure is higher than an external one. SOLUTION: This writing implement has an ink tank chamber 14 holding ink, a relay core 16 extending on the central axis and a pen body 18 provided integrally with the core 16 on the fore end side thereof. The ink tank chamber 14 consists of a main ink chamber 14A, a pen core chamber 14C wherein the core 16 is disposed and a sub-ink chamber 14B which is provided between the main ink chamber 14A and the pen core chamber 14C and partitioned from the main ink chamber 14A with a small hole 21a between them. Between the sub-ink chamber 14B and the pen core chamber 14C, an opening-closing valve 28 which normally cuts off these chambers and makes them communicate with each other when the pen body 18 is operated. The pen core chamber 14C is provided with an ink absorbing body 22 capable of absorbing ink, while a rod part 28b being an ink absorbing body made insertable into the small hole 21a is provided in the rear part of the opening-closing valve 28. |
