摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent agent for determining (1→3)-β-D-glucan, and to provide a measurement method. SOLUTION: The method for highly sensitively and rapidly detecting and determining the (1→3)-β-D-glucan by a fluorescence polarization method comprises preparing a protein comprising a (1→3)-β-D-glucan-bound domain existing in theα-subunit of a factor G originated from the amebocyte lysate of Tachypleus tridentatus by a generic engineering method, binding the prepared protein with a fluorescent substance, and then using the obtained complex. When a divalent cation, especially an alkaline earth metal ion, coexists in the reaction solution, the measurement sensitivity is remarkably raised.
