PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preliminary seedling storage apparatus of a rice transplanter capable of storing a preliminary seedling rack in a raising state, having a simple structure and capable of carrying out placing of seedlings without hindrance. SOLUTION: An engaging part 15 is provided on the preliminary seedling rack 11 on the upper stage side and a fixing part 16 is provide on the preliminary seedling rack 11 on the lower stage side. When the engaging part 15 is engaged with the fixing part 16 in a state in which the preliminary seedling rack 11 is kept in a raising storage posture, the preliminary seedling rack 11 on the lower stage side protrusively supports the preliminary seedling rack 11 on the upper stage side in the raising storage posture by using a connecting point to a strut 11 of preliminary seedling rack 11 as a reactive force point. The engaging part 15 is arranged on the rear side of the preliminary seedling rack 11.
