PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new noble metal-phosphine complex which enables selective reduction in high selectivity even on the reduction of a simple ketone compound without needing a complicated production process. SOLUTION: This noble-phosphine complex represented by the general formula (1): [M(L<1> )(L<2> p )m (L<3> q )n ]abs(A-n)Y (1) [M is a noble metal atom selected from rhodium, iridium and ruthenium; L<1> is a diphosphine type bidentate ligand represented by the general formula (2) or (3) (R<1> and R<2> are each independently H or a 1 to 10C hydrocarbon); L<2> is a neutral ligand; (p) is the coordination number of neutral ligands; (m) is the ligand number of the neutral ligands; L<3> is an anionic ligand; (q) is the coordination number of the anionic ligands; (n) is the ligand number of the anionic ligands; Y is a counter-ion].
