PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a makeup cosmetic affording fully satisfiable touch feeling in use and having good makeup sustainability and moisturizing effect. SOLUTION: This makeup cosmetic contains an alkylene oxide derivative of the general formula 1: R<1> O-[(AO)m (EO)n ]-R<2> (wherein, AO is a 3-4C oxyalkylene group; EO is an oxyethylene group; m and n are the mean addition number of moles of the 3-4C oxyalkylene groups and the oxyethylene groups, respectively, meeting the relationships: 1<=m<=70 and 1<=n<=70, respectively; the oxyethylene groups account for 20-80 mass% of the total of the oxyalkylene groups and the oxyethylene groups; the oxyalkylene groups and the oxyethylene groups may be added to each other in a blocked or random fashion; and R<1> and R<2> are each H or a 1-4C hydrocarbon group, the ratio of the number of the hydrogen atoms to the total number of the hydrocarbon groups in R<1> and R<2> being <=0.15).
