PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform casting based on a true metal temperature, even in case of melting the metals having different sizes or the metal with oxide film. SOLUTION: A high frequency induction heating coil 10 is arranged on a crucible 4 for holding the metal 8 in the inner part so as to heat the metal 8. Utility power is supplied to this coil 10 through an inverter 18, and the metals 8 in the crucible 4 are melted and cast into a mold 6. After melting the whole of various metals 8 in the crucible 4 and succeeding the driving of the inverter 18 over a first time, the inverter 18 is stopped over a second time to stop the heating with a control unit 36. Thereafter, the inverter 18 is driven to restart the heating, and when the molten metal is in a prescribed state, after the elapse of a third time, the crucible 4 is opened with a crucible opening/closing operational device 9 to cast the molten metal into the mold 6.
