PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric washing machine which can efficiently remove the dirt of wash without using detergents. SOLUTION: The washing machine W has a washing tub for housing the wash, water flow generating means (pulsator) 7 for washing the wash by generating water flow within the washing tub and at least a pair of electrodes (first electrode 33a and second electrode 33b) 33 for electrolyze city water and electrolyzing means (electrolyzer) 31 for forming cleaning liquid by energizing the respective electrodes 33a and 33b and electrolyzing the city water. The machine has a hardness component concentrating means (reverse osmosis membrane) 50 for concentrating the hardness component in the city water. The hardness component concentrated water concentrated with the hardness component by the hardness component concentrating means (reverse osmosis membrane) 50 is fed to the electrolyzing means (electrolyzer) 31 and the cleaning liquid formed in the electrolyzing means (electrolyzer) 31 is fed into the washing tub.
