PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment for inexpensively obtaining an image with high image quality. SOLUTION: A non-magnetic conductor 10 is arranged between a vacuum vessel 9 and a magnetic polar projection 4 shown in fig. 1 and fixed independently of the vacuum vessel from the magnetic polar projection 4, a return yoke 6 or a floor through the use of a fastening tool such as a bolt. The fig. 1 shows the conceptual diagram of magnetic field lines by a gradient magnetic field coil 7 in the case of using a structure by the present invention. The structure shields the magnetic field by the gradient magnetic field coil 7 by permitting a spiral current to flow in the non-magnetic conductor 10 so that a vibration and heat generation are prevented in a superconductive coil 3. Influence from the spiral current flowing in the non-magnetic conductor 10 on the magnetic field of an observation region 2 is smaller than that of a magnetic pole 5 and the magnetic polar projection 4 since the conductor is separated further from the coil 7.
