PURPOSE: A rack/pinion gear without backlash is provided to precisely control the motion of the linear rack/pinion gear by coupling the pinion gear with two rack gears and connecting two rack gears by a spring. CONSTITUTION: A pinion gear(1) is rotated by a motor(M), and is engaged with a first rack gear(21) and a second rack gear(2) moving linearly. A spring(24) connect the first rack gear and second rack gear, and tensile force or compressive force is generated between the pinion gear and two rack gears. Thus, the pinion gear is coupled with two rack gears without backlash. A flange(23) is fixed on the upper part of the first rack gear. A key(224) is formed at the upper part of the second rack gear, and is inserted into a groove(232) formed at the flange.
