PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can estimate the shape of a forming tool capable of obtaining a material to be formed of a desired shape with high accuracy when performing the age-forming by bending the material to be formed in two directions by the forming tool. SOLUTION: The shape in the direction of the minimum bend, and the shape in the direction orthogonal thereto are estimated separately. The shape of the direction of the minimum bend is estimated by using the known creep data. Contrary to this, the shape in the direction orthogonal thereto is obtained by preparing a plurality of test pieces similar to an actual material, restricting the test pieces to a test tool where the ratio of the minimum bend radius to the bend radius orthogonal to this direction is changed, performing the age- forming, and obtaining the relationship between the restricted shape before the forming and the shape after the forming.
