PURPOSE: A method of mass-producing elite potato plug seedlings using a closed transplant production apparatus capable of absolutely controlling various elements such as temperature, relative humidity, light, air flow speed, CO2 concentration, etc. is provided. Therefore, the method can produce health plug seedlings under optimum environmental conditions, prevents environment pollution and increases crop yield when planted. CONSTITUTION: Elite potato plug seedlings are produced by the following process consisting of: planting tissue-cultured potato seedlings into a plug tray filled with artificial bed soil and then growing in a closed transplant production apparatus; cutting a scion from the grown seedlings, transplanting into the plug tray, generating a new shoot from lateral buds located at the lower part of the potato seedlings and then growing a grafted nursery plant; and then mass-producing a scion from the grafted nursery plant. |
