PURPOSE: A muffler for a vehicle is provided to prevent corrosion of the muffler by discharging moisture in a body to the outside through a discharge pipe. CONSTITUTION: A muffler comprises a body(10) formed as a cylinder made of a steel plate; a sound absorbing plate(20) having a plurality of gas flowing holes(21) formed thereon for exhaust gas to pass, and installed in the body to divide a space(11) in the body into a plurality of muffling spaces(12); an inlet pipe(30) having a plurality of holes(31) formed on a side thereof, and placed on one end of the body to introduce exhaust gas into the body; and an outlet pipe(40) placed on the other end of the body to discharge exhaust gas with temperature and pressure reduced in the body to the outside. The body has a sloping plate(50) having a sloping surface(51) installed therein to form moisture moving holes together with the sound absorbing plate. An inlet(41) of the outlet pipe is placed on an end of the sloping surface of the sloping plate. Moisture formed in the body moves along an inside of the body to the sloping plate. Moisture is collected to the inlet of the outlet pipe by the sloping surface of the sloping plate to be discharged through the outlet pipe. |
