PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error diffusion processing circuit for a display device by which data appearance starting position is never displaced when signals in a specific fixed pattern are inputted. SOLUTION: A zero-neighborhood data continuous detecting circuit 381 detects that a zero neighborhood continuous region where the predetermined number of dots or more, or at least two dots of predetermined zero-neighborhood value or less continues. If a zero-neighborhood region occurs, a selector 391 replaces all of the error data generated from the zero-neighborhood continuous region with zero. A zero-neighborhood end detecting circuit 382 detects the dots immediately after the zero-neighborhood continuous region and a supplementary error data is added to the error data generated from the dot immediately after the zero-neighborhood continuous region.
