PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a high-quality halftone image which is provided with characteristics of an AM screen and an FM screen with respect to an image processing method and an image processing device by which half-toning of a digital image is performed by using a single fixed threshold arrangement. SOLUTION: When a threshold value arrangement 31 for half-toning an input image is prepared, the threshold values are divided into threshold values for developing isolated points, threshold values for processing a low-density part, and threshold values for processing the high-density part. By applying different specific preparing methods to them, the threshold value arrangement 31 for performing half-toning suitable for the density can be prepared. Also, by providing characteristics of both of the AM screen and the FM screen, half-toning of high image quality maximizing the merits of the both sides can be performed.
