PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of surely holding a socket by attraction with an attraction jig and precisely mounting the socket on a circuit board, a socket and a socket mounting tape suitable for the above method. SOLUTION: In this mounting method, a tape 20 is pasted on the top surface of a socket 10. Then, an attraction jig 50 is aligned with the attraction part x of the socket 10 and brought into close contact with the tape 20, so that the socket 10 is held by the jig 50 by attraction and mounted on a circuit board 30. In succession, the attraction jig 50 is separated from the tape 20, and the socket 10 is soldered to the circuit board 30 by reflow-soldering. The tape 20 is separated from the socket 10, and a tongue 13 is lifted up so as to be separated from socket 10 at a connecting part 11, by which an inner through- hole 14 is formed.
