PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video contents sales/rental system that can distribute video contents through a communication network with a small transmission capacity, collect and pay a copyright fee when the video contents are disclosed, and directly rent purchased video contents to a third party. SOLUTION: A video cache memory provided in a set-top box in a client stores once video contents downloaded from a video contents sales/rental server, the video contents are reproduced from the video cache memory in real time during viewing of the video contents, and a royalty processor automatically executes collection and payment of the copyright fee. |
