PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system that can efficiently and flexibly assign wireless frequencies to terminal stations. SOLUTION: In the wireless communication system where a plurality of wireless base stations each having its own coverage make communications with terminal stations in each coverage and also use radio waves even for communications between the wireless base stations adjacent to each other, each wireless base station is provided with: a relay processing means to enhance a function as a relaying device; and a frequency management information sharing means that allows the wireless base stations to share frequency management information with respect to radio frequencies used for communications with terminal stations in each coverage and with respect to radio frequencies used for communications between the wireless base stations.
